Faisal brings extensive experience in community development and charitable initiatives across the UK and overseas. During the pandemic, he worked in partnership with local charities, refugee support organisations, community kitchens, and volunteers to deliver more than 2,500 meals to residents across London - demonstrating his commitment to compassion, collaboration, and practical support during times of crisis.
Faisal also leads on organising annual 5K charity runs, bringing together partners, volunteers, and community groups to raise funds for valuable causes. Over recent years, these events have collectively raised over £200,000, supporting both UK based and international projects focused on wellbeing, education, and community resilience.
His motivation for this work is simple: Faisal feels deeply fortunate to be in a position where he can give back. This sense of gratitude drives his commitment to doing more for those facing hardship. He is motivated by the belief that even small actions can change someone’s life for the better and he is determined to play his part in creating opportunities, dignity, and hope for others.
A passionate advocate for sport as a catalyst for social inclusion, Faisal plays a key role in a UK–Bangladesh based organisation delivering multi sport programmes for the community. As Secretary of an organisation with over 300 active members, he leads on organising, planning, and delivering sporting activities throughout the year, as well as managing sponsorships and securing funding to sustain community programmes. He is also part of the open age football management team, helping shape initiatives that strengthen participation, wellbeing, and long term engagement.
Faisal additionally serves as a trustee for Sporting Foundation, a semi professional football club dedicated to youth development and community engagement. Beyond his leadership roles, he remains an active contributor to grassroots football and community led projects, championing teamwork, inclusion, and positive change for individuals, organisations, and communities alike.
