TRANSITIONS HUB
Rebecca Spruce
Programme Manager
As a Programme Manager, my responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including employer engagement, partnership management, and the coordination of our mentoring and volunteer/CSR initiatives.
This multifaceted role allows me to contribute significantly to the success of Transitions Hub and ensure that we meet our objectives effectively. I am passionate about creating inclusive environments that empower individuals to thrive. I am committed to promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity in all aspects of my role, ensuring that our service is not only effective but also respectful and inclusive. I believe that by embracing diversity, we can create a more enriching experience for everyone involved.

My passion for, and understanding of, diverse cultures, which began with my BSocSc in Social Anthropology, continues to influence my work today. In my previous position with a third sector organisation in Seville, Spain, I had the opportunity to coordinate projects aimed at improving employability for British youths and fostering cultural awareness and appreciation. This experience not only enhanced my skills in employer and client engagement but also deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities. My background in teaching English as a foreign language has further enriched my professional journey. It has equipped me with strong communication skills that are vital for effective collaboration across teams and with stakeholders. Additionally, my fluency in Spanish and intermediate proficiency in French enable me to connect with a broader range of individuals, fostering meaningful relationships and enhancing our outreach efforts.

My hobbies outside of work include walking, wild swimming, yoga, and playing football. I also take great pleasure in cooking nutritious meals for friends. I love bringing people together to share stories over a wholesome meal!
